Copying Front Speaker Audio To Rear Speaker Audio RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I'm trying to develop a solution that allows me to switch between speakers or headphones using a sort of toggle-button that sits on the desktop.

    I'd like to have 4 modes:
        - Both Speakers/Headphones ON;
        - Both Speakers/Headphones OFF;
        - Speakers On, Headphones OFF;
        - Speakers Off, Headphones ON;

    When using this solution I will only be running software that uses only the FRONT speakers so I thought it'd be a good idea to connect the headphones with the "Rear Speakers" jack, and copy the audio signal that goes to the front speakers to play in the rear speakers aswell. If I then control the volume of the front and rear speakers I can easily manage my 4 modes.

    How would I start on this? How can I duplicate the 'Front'-signal to play in the rear? For example to have Internet Explorers sounds to play in my rear speakers aswell.

    Kind Regards,
