Installing NDIS filter with INetCfgClass setup without reboot RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our installer is installing an NDIS filter using InetCfgClassSetup::Install, but the filter driver is not activated until the computer is rebooted.

When we add the driver manually through the adapter configuration dialog it starts working immediately.

Is there a way to use InetCfgClassSetup to install a filter without a reboot?

    Thanks!

Answers

  • After disable & enable of the netcard, will your filter activate? If yes, do this in your installer.
