Hi icm63,
The will automatically install ajaxtoolkit in your project,so you don't need ajaxtoolkit.dll.
You could refer to its step by step installation
https://github.com/DevExpress/AjaxControlToolkit/wiki/Step-by-Step-Installation-Guide
Please ensure your visual studio is closed when you install ajaxtoolkit.
If you must use ajaxtoolkit, you could also search for ajaxtoolkit.dll. in your file system.
It should be somewhere after you install the ajaxtoolkit in your compute, or you could use nuget to install the dll as the guide shows.
Best regards,
Ackerly Xu

Hi icm63,
It's not wise to load AJAX TOOL KIT here.
version 3.0.30930 is the build number of the toolkiit and targets .net 3.5 sp1.
You can search the Ajax control toolkit CodePlex lives on in the archive
You will get it here. Thanks
Please don't forget to mark as answer if my suggestion helps you! Thanks

Sorry it is not found at codeplex, when you search with this term 'ajaxcontroltoolkit' (no quotes) you get this
https://archive.codeplex.com/?p=ajaxcontroltoolkit
And this only it for versions for asp .net 4.0 and higher.
And what does this mean? ''It's not wise to load AJAX TOOL KIT here." ????

If that's the case my suggestion will be upgrade to 4 or above. Latest one is 4.7.
Because, upgrading to old version is not only one problem. Many other problems you can face with very limited help. Thanks
