Pushing data from a .NET App and managing incremental update of azure search index from document db RRS feed

  • Question

  • Using azure search and cosmos db.

I read data from document db from my .net app, does preprocessing/flattening and pushes it in the azure search

But now to keep the azure search in sync with documentdb (cosmos) I can't seem to find a better solution.

    Questions:

    1. Do I need to use document db change feed?

    2. Can I use my own data flattening using .net instead of what is provided out of the box which uses SQL syntax while creating data source to index?

    3. How to leverage high water marks change detection policy?

Which one is better approach? I can't find any resources on msdn to help me with my scenario.

    Please help

  • Please take a look at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/search/search-howto-index-documentdb - that article should answer most of your above questions.
