Access ASP.Net website in a mobile phone RRS feed

    Hello,

I have an internal ASP.Net application. We want to extend the accessibility of this application for the users using their mobile phone.

The application runs on an internal server of the company.

Is it possible to open the website(internal within the intranet) in a mobile phone and perform operations?

    Thank you,

    Chinni

It's possible although it probably has nothing to do with asp.net.  Do the phones have wifi and can any device on your company's wifi network access intranet sites or internal resources? If they don't have wifi would your company create an external DNS entry for your app/site that could be accessed like an extranet. Are there certain phones you are targeting and account for? Those are some of the questions you should ask.

An asp.net site is just like any other site on the web. Nothing about asp.net should make it different tom your end users.

Thank you all for your response.

    Interactivedeveloper,

How about if the user is outside the access of companies wifi?

We can access the outlook outside the intranet. Can't we access the internal website?

    Thanks,

    Chinni

Your network admins would need to allow it and essentially make it an extranet app/site.
