VMware ESX using “Unlimited Virtualization rights” with Windows Server 2008 Datacenter RRS feed

  • Question

  • How do I use “Unlimited Virtualization rights” with Windows Server 2008 Datacenter, when I am running the Datacenter on VMware ESX v4 (vSphere)

    Using MAK licensing.

Every Windows server 2008 Datacenter I install seems to increment my MAK licensing count (with activation).

I thought “Unlimited Virtualization rights” on one VMware ESX host meant I have one Windows Server 2008 Datacenter license with many Server 2008 Datacenter installs?

Should I be using a special tool to activate. (I have been calling in to Microsoft to activate)
