Report imported created problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • I imported an Access Report from a development version to the active version.  When I tried to rename the old old report, it wouldn't permit it and gave me an error about not finding a .dll.   Other reports of a very similar format imported without issue.

I looked at the VBA code and there are Report-modules for the original and the imported one that I cannot get rid of.

I have Compacted the database and closed and opened it without being able to overcome this.  There is no actual code in these orphan report modules, just the default lines at the top of any module.

    HELP!!

    Thanks.

  • Found the answer!

It was in the References.  The Access 2013 ms Word library is 15 and mine is 14.

Things seem to be working better now.

  • I should have added the fact that the active version I was trying to import into was last used in Access 2013, while I am using Access 2010.

    Here's the message I get.

The expression On Load you entered as the event property setting produced the following error: Error in loading DLL.

Below that there are a couple of sentences that speculate about the possible causes of this, but offer no specifics whatsoever.

The same code works in 2010 without complaint.

Could the version of Access make this difference and what on earth can I do about it?

    Thanks.
