.ASP includes being ignored - no errors RRS feed

    Using file-based includes.  Checked "ASP" and "Server-Side Includes" in Vista's features, and I now have an "ASP" icon in IIS.  Even restarted IIS a few times, but no luck.  The include appears in the source code as a comment:

    <!--#include file="includes/header.asp"-->

     Any ideas?

    <!--#include file="includes/header.asp"-->

    Is that a valid path and file name for the include?  Does it work as a virtual include?  As in:

    <!--#include virtual="includes/header.asp"-->

    I ask because it looks like a virtual path.

    The error message you get would be interesting.

    No errors - page just renders without the include's content.
