A Timezone problem experimenting with EWS Java API 1.1.5 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I used the example code from the getting started guide to set an appointment starting at 4pm (1600 hours) and ending at 5:30.  It shows up on my Exchange calendar at 9am to 10:30am.  It's as if I'm setting the appointment using UTC times and they show up in the calender in local time.  Going through the Java Docs, I don't see anything that will let me set the time zone.  Does anyone have a clue?

  • I finally leafed through the entire getting started guide, and it looks you need to enter the start and stop times in UTC for them to show up in the calendar in local time.  Tweaking the time is easy enough, but don'e hardcode the offset ff you live in a part of the world that impments daylight savings time.  Use the TimeZone class to get instead.
