COM object : interface management

  • I'm working with COM object to communicate between a GUI and a software that I use to manage a board. I'm developping in C++ in Visual Studio 2012.

until now, I had 12 interfaces with no particularities. But the Hardware has changed and one of the 12 interfaces has now to be accessible only if the hardware is in a particulare state. A boolean variable tell me wheiter this state is achieved or not.

So, I need to be able to enable or disable the associated COM interface depending on this boolean value so that every call to it either do nothing or return an error code (the second one would be prefferred). But I don't know if this is possible. And if it is, I don't know how to do it. Actually, I never had to "dive" into the COM object functionning.
