SSIS SQL Server Configuration RRS feed

  • Question

  • I can't seem to get my SSIS package to respect the runtime values I specify in my SQL Server configuration table. I'm using SSIS on SQL 2008. I used the wizard to create a SQL Configuration table on a separate database. I created an environment variable that defines a connect string which specifies the connection to the configuration database/table using integrated security. The package doesn't seem to even look at the configuration values though. Is there a package setting somewhere that I can look at that tells me where (if anywhere) the package is looking for it's configuration settings? I feel like I understand everything pretty well except for the part where you connect the configuration file to the running package.

My package is deployed on another SQL Server and runs fine.

  • Never mind. I used a direct connection to the config db instead of an env var. I don't know why the env. var won't work, but the direct connetion is fine with me. I'll go with that.
