Outlook 2007 form data for Folder doesn't synchronize to message store RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have built an application which sets properties on an Outlook folder and applies those properties to any mail items stored in that folder.  If the proeprties are applied to the folder when cached mode is enabled, the properties are written to the OST file, but if you connect directly to the exchange mailbox the properties are not there.  if you apply the properties while NOT in cached mode, the properties are available when you re-enable cached mode, suggestin that the synchronization of the properties is happening one way (mailbox to OST) but not the other (OST to mailbox).  The application uses redemption and was developed to work both on Outlook 2003 and 2007.  We are trying to determine if this is setting related, code related or a bug with Outlook's cached mode.

  • What is your code?

Do the changes sync if you modify the propeties with OutlookSpy (click IMAPIFolder on the OutlookSpy toolbar, double click on the property that you want to modify)?
