  • Bill,

Have you tried to install software using Compatibility mode?  If not, give it a try.

    1. Right click on setup file
    2. Click on Properties
    3. Click on Compatibility tab
    4. Put a check mark on Run this program in compatibility mode for:
    5. Select Windows 7
    6. Put a check mark on Run this program as an administrator under Privilege Level

  • Unfortunately I have tried it every way possible

    With updates too.

All the legacy drivers installed ok for  the slate.

The access manager installs but not the pantech modem driver.

  • I tried everything and am good at integration,

I used two variations of drivers and installed in 3 different OS versions.

The one update will only let you select the previous version...Odd. never seen it say that before.

  • I also cannot uninstall the PANTECH USB modem v2 driver. But it says installed if I try to remove and uninstall.

Just does nothing, but I can uninstall the Verizon Access Manager software, but it leaves the driver.

It would really make it better to have access to the internet since I am on the road and need to assist users and servers

at the office. Is there another tethering option?

  • I have found alot more drivers for the Slate on the CD it came with,

so I am copying it to usb and hope to fix all the issues I have remaining.

The HPWebsite has some drivers but not half as many as the Slate needs.

    Thank you for your help
