Connecting to Oracle 10g RRS feed

  • Question

  • Using Windows7, Office 2010 32-Bit, MS Access 2010, and Oracle 10g

    I'm trying to connect to an Oracle 10g database via Microsoft Access.  Can someone provide a link to where I can get the drivers?  I found this on the Oracle site,

    "Oracle 10g Release 2 ODAC and Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio .NET"

    but I'm not doing any Visual Studio development, I just want to view the table structure in the Oracle database via a connection provider using MS Access 2010.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank You.

    According to your description, you'll have to first create an ODBC connection to your Oracle database using the {Microsoft ODBC for Oracle} driver.

    The connection string for Microsoft ODBC for Oracle, refer to below:

    "Driver={Microsoft ODBC for Oracle};Server=yourServerAddress;Uid=yourUsername;Pwd=yourPassword;"
