EDI adapter - Invalid character(s) found in data element RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    I received a Pricat file containing the following segment

    IMD+F+MD+::91:060.0% LEATHER/030.0% NYLON/010.0% ::EN'

    When I validate the instance using the schema EFACT_D96A_PRICAT.xsd I got the message

    Invalid character(s) found in data element” and more specific

    “IMD : Field Position - 4 : Current value - 060.0% LEATHER/030.0% NYLON/010.0%  : [37] Invalid character(s) found in data element”

    When I delete the last character, which is a space, the validation goes well and this is not because it exceeds the maximum length.

    Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how I can solve this?

    Regards,

    Roger

    In your Party as Interchange Sender Properties under Validation and ACK Generation settings enable the checkbox that says 'Allow leading and trailing zeroes and spaces' and that should solve your problem.
