    Hi KeeEdwins ,

    At the click on the button to move items is there a way i can update the number of items moved as in when they are moved using an update panel.

    I don't understand your requirement , could you please explain more about it ? Do you want to click a button to move the items to another table and update the number of moved items ? You could make the button click event as the trigger,code below is for your reference:

    <asp:Button ID="Button1"
                Text="Refresh Panel"
                runat="server" />
    <asp:ScriptManager ID="ScriptManager1"
                       runat="server" />
    <asp:UpdatePanel ID="UpdatePanel1"
                     UpdateMode="Conditional"
                     runat="server">
                     <Triggers>
                       <asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="Button1" />
                     </Triggers>
                     <ContentTemplate>
                     <fieldset>
                     <legend>UpdatePanel content</legend>
                     <%=DateTime.Now.ToString() %>
                     </fieldset>
                     </ContentTemplate>
    </asp:UpdatePanel>

    If i misunderstand your requirement ,please explain more about it .

    Best Regards,

    Nan Yu

    Hi KeeEdwins ,

    When i click on the button. I want to count the total count of items and using use an update starting from zero increase the update panel as in when the items move

    As i mentioned above , make the button click event as the trigger of the update panel , in button click you could move the items and count the total number . Then when you click the button , you can refresh selected parts of the page instead of refreshing the whole page with a postback :
