Is EPPlus 5.1.2 version free to use in any product RRS feed

  • Question

  • This question not about .Net. Sorry to ask a question here for EPPlus...so if anyone has any experience about EPPlus non-commercial and commercial license then please guide me.

before i used EPPlus free in few .net application (not .net core) but when i show EPPlus exist for .Net core then i got this write up from this url https://www.nuget.org/packages/EPPlus/

From version 5 EPPlus changes the licence model using a dual license, Polyform Non Commercial / Commercial license.
EPPlus will still have the source available, but for non Polyform NC compliant projects, EPPlus will provide a commercial license.
Commercial licenses can be purchased from https://epplussoftware.
This applies to EPPlus version 5 and later. Previous versions are still licensed LGPL.

    1) it is not very clear to me can i use it freely in .Net core ?

but this is not clear to me what they try to say non Polyform NC compliant projects, EPPlus will provide a commercial license.

anyone tell me what they try to say ?

what would be benefit for using their commercial license when people can use it free one ?

  • Hello,

If you have a commercial application then you need to purchase as per this page. See also the FAQ page.

    The following would be free.
