Blocking default views of lists and document libraries to normal User in SharePoint 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I want to restrict the access to a set of pages in SharePoint 2007.

Currently i am using the <Location></Location> tag in web config to restrict access. But its not working for all pages.

Its not working for a set of pages. For example, few default views of lists and document libraries are still visible to all.

    e.g: Lists/Messages/AllItems.aspx, AdminPages/AllItems.aspx..

    Please advise. Appreciate your help.

  • Hi Soundararajan,

You can try this codeplex solution. It allows you to manage view permission based on user group. Then you can assign the default view and available views for each user group. If you don’t want user see anything, you can just assign these users a blank view as default view.

    Hope this helps.
