MSBuild, MSTest, VSTest RRS feed

  • Question

  • Could someone please cite an effective way to use MSBuild and MSTest/VSTest for our continuous integration boxes that do not have Visual Studio installed on them?  I'm running into all types of problems depending on the .NET version of the solution vs not even being able to download the proper versions of these tools.  More specifically, which versions go with VS2015?

According to your description, here is MSbuild tools 2015:

and for MStest and VStest, you need install test agent 2013(which also works well with VS2015):

Here's reason why I recommend you use test agent 2013 other then version 2015 :

  • The download link for the 2013 agent is no longer available. Is the 2017 agent preferred now or is there a better link?
