  • Hi colin dube,

Of course Enterprise edition ask you for key, after you trial expires, Visual Studio Enterprise is not free like Community editiom... Visual Studio Community is free after you sign in with your account...

    Best regards!

  • Hello,

It is asking for a key immediately after a new installation before any use has taken place. I was missing Scaffolding option in Community.

    Regards,

    Colin

  • Hi Colin,

You can sign in instead of putting a key which will enable 60 days trial according to the below :

You can evaluate the release version of Professional and Enterprise editions of Visual Studio for 30 days, starting when you install the product. Signing in to Visual Studio adds 60 days to the evaluation period, for a total of 90 days. If you don't register a trial edition of Visual Studio within 30 days, the trial period expires 30 days after you install them.
