  • Question

  • In a demo of KStudio, in File/View mode, a new window was created and multiple panes/views (monitor, 2d Monitor, 3d Monitor, etc.) were docked side-by-side and on top of each other. When I try to drag these views to the new window they always fill the entire window area and provide tabbed views that must be selected individually. While dragging there is a tool tip that says you can drag over a docking target. My questions are:

What is a "docking target" and how can I get side by side views in one window (Just like the standard Play view).

  • I figured it out. When you drag a view to a new window, drag it to the center of the window and a selection of target areas will be displayed. Just drop the new view on the top, bottom, either side or on top of the existing window.
