    I'm working on a project that uses bing maps that has points marked worldwide but I've noticed a number of areas where the alignment of the polygon/road map view is quite a bit off the satellite view yet Google Maps is aligned correctly and has much better definition.

    The issue seems to mainly be focused around minor islands but the quality and alignment difference is so significant that putting placemarkers on these areas is problematic since it often appears in the sea!

    As an example we're looking at a small island off Fiji (-17.67224, 177.10431) which seems to have a horizontal offset of around 2000 feet:
