Empower program software keys RRS feed

  • I recently signed up to the empower program and received the software yesteday.  I expect that my membership id has been activated but msdn does not recognise it and so I cannot access the keys to install the software.

    I have type in my name, email address and membership id and am getting the "The subscription information you have entered is not valid." error message.

    Has anyone got an idea as to what I might be doing wrong here? Can you please help as I would llike to install this software asap and get cracking

  • The Partner Resource Center team should be able to assist you with this. You can find the local contact details on https://partners.microsoft.com/PartnerProgram/ContactMicrosoft.aspx.

    There should also be a direct Empower support email address in the information that you received after enrolling.

  • First of all, go to http://msdn.microsoft.com/subscriptions, login and click the "Associate your subscription with your Passport" link under the section "First time user?" After completing this process, you'll be able to access your keys and other benefits.

    We are having the same problem. Our company applied for the Empower for ISV program and was accepted. We paid the fees. We got the software in the mail but we cannot activate the MSN downloads. According to the program benefits, we are supposed to have access to the MSDN software downloads.

    We have contacted both Partner program and MSDN support and they know it's a problem but cannot offer a fix or an explanation.

    Are there any Empower for ISV program companies here that have activated the MSDN subscription?

    Who can we talk to that understands the problem and can escalate it?

  • We apologize for any inconvenience. The MSDN system was being updated which delayed new activations. The update has been completed and you should now be able to access your account as originally instructed. Should you have any additional issues with your access, please contact your Regional Service Center.
