How to block access to site within network from another machines IIS 7.0 asp.net web application 64 bit win 2008 R2 server RRS feed

    MY web application is on ip 35 within the same network how can i block all other machines accessing this site.

     

    We have several other machines within same network, but the complete site is on ip .35 which is internal ip.

     

    Please can you provide me details how to block incoining connection via IIS7

    For what its worth, you could do this blocking via firewall. A firewall can handle IP Address ranges or the onsey twosey type of configuration. I would suggest talking to your IT department for assistance.

    In the site properties on right pane find Bindings

    Instead of binding to * change it to 127.0.0.1. This will only allow your box to access IIS since it's only listening on IP 127.0.0.1.

    You can install IP and Domain restrictions feature to block access from specific IP / IP range

    Since your requesting an IIS method, I strongly recommend you post this thread on the IIS forums instead. http://forums.iis.net  That forum can get a lot more indepth into IIS than we can here as our focus is ASP.NET.
