Outlook Offline Address Book (OAB) file parcing RRS feed

  • Question

  • So I've given up searching for ways to pull offline address book data through the Outlook interop, looking now at the possability of parcing through the actual .OAB files in my profile data folder. I've been attempting to read through the MS Documentation on OAB files and compression, however a lot of that seems above my current understanding of byte object storage. I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction as to what all (knowledge and or skill) would be required to complete such a task. Or if by God's grace there is some example available I have yet to find.

Attempting to work the issue via C#. I really appreciate your time and help!

  • Have you tried to read the addres book contents using OOM? Namely Namespace.AddressLists?
