    I've spent most of my time programming C++ and more recently C#.

    I need to develop a web page to process a PayPal IPN and perform a few basic tasks (email etc.).

    I've started learning ASP.NET and wondered if someone could recommend a few other technologies that would compliment this e.g. AJAX, RESTful so I can make better use of my time?
