How to import or sync Exchange server data like Calendar, Contacts with a web application or web service RRS feed

  • Question

  • How to import or sync Exchange data like Calendar, Contacts with a web application or web service.

    1. Is there any API to import contacts and calendar (tasks and events) from exchange server to my calendar in web application using web services or http request. the user would have provided the username and password for his exchange account.

    2. Is there any licensing involved to communicate with exchange server for its data.

    thanks in advance

  • You can get contacts/calendar items from exchange user mailboxes, then you can use Exchange Web Service (EWS) API or Exchange Web Services Managed API (from Exchange Server 2007 and above) to get the contents programmatically.

  • Could you please elaborate on this a little more or provide a starting point or code sample? I am having the same requirement as Karthick does, and would like to learn more.
