Project Professional 2013 Javascript API RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am studying how work Office Apps (for the marketplace) for Project Professional 2013.

So if I understand it well, Office apps are Task Panes made with web technologies (HTML5, JS) and the Office + Project JavaScript APIs.

I have followed all the articles from the MSDN and Project 2013 SDK, created the examples using the APIs (JSOMCall project)and the API looks very limited when it gets to access data from Project.

I was using TimeScaleValues and TimeScaleData in Project 2010 with vsto, is it possible to do the same with Marketplace Apps in Project 2013 ?

If not, does that mean I should use REST (and oAuth) to access these data? That means the user needs to save and publish every time I want my task pane to be updated, right?

Sorry about the long question but I am very interested in developing Office store apps but the MSDN is pretty limited unfortunately.

    Thanks in advance.
