How do I turn off access to MySites? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have recently performed a migration of MySites to OneDrive, and I am now looking for the best possible way to cut off access to the MySites for all users. After access has been cut off, I also want to retain access for certain group (maybe IT admins). But remove all user access, as they will now only use OneDrive.

What is the recommended way to remove access for the users? would stopping the web application be the best option? Please share your thoughts.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Spawn10,

Whether you have a separate web application for all My Sites?

If so, you can add "Everyone" group to your My Site web application and give permission "Deny All - Has no access." via Manage web applications->User Policy->Add users.

    Best regards,
