Hi, I deployed my site now I would like to add membership Nd authorization to toe site.. I opened the web site by going to File > Open Website in MVWD 2012. The icon that I used to do membership and authorization is not there when I connect to my remote site.  Is there another way to access that configuration site?

The tool built-into VIsual Studio is not deployable. You can use this example from 4 Guys instead: http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/052307-1.aspx

Yes, whatever is in place at the time you deploy will be in effect.

Thanks.. I'll learn how to use this app.  But for now if I use the local built-in configuration manager to  put the security on my pages before deployment, would they be in place after deployment?

Yes, as long as your deployment includes the membership related tables?
