[UWP]Open Teamviewer exe using an Universal Windows Platform (UWP) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    We are developing an enterprise application using UWP, we want to open the Teamviewer application on top of UWP application, it will run as separate process, so can someone help me to achieve this.

    Also the UWP app is running on Kiosk mode, so user can't access the exe from explorer, the only way is UWP app will provide the button to launch the Teamviewer.

    Our application will run on Sideload mode.

  • Hi,

    The only way in such scenario is that trying to launch the TeamViewer via URI which called also a protocol.

    For example, how to launch fackbook:

    await Windows.System.Launcher.LaunchUriAsync(new Uri("fb:post?text=foo"));

    But the problem is that the target app(TeamViewer in our question) needs to handle the URI activation and shows it's custom URI scheme. This is out of the scope of UWP forum and you will need to ask in the TeamViewer's forum about if they support this feature in their app.

    For more information about how to launch another app in UWP apps, please refere:Launch the default app for a URI.

    Best regards,
