How to get "Suggested contacts" in outlook 2007 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are developing a plugin for outlook and we could use contacts in our plug-in from outlook(2007 and 2010). Also suggested contacts (folder) are available in outlook 2010. But we need to use suggested contacts from outlook 2007.

    How to extract "Suggested Contacts / AutoComplete" from outlook 2007?

    I would greatly appreciate any help.

  • As in any case with an older version and a default folder not defined in the OlDefaultFolders enumeration, you need to get the folder using the name.  Something like this snippet would do it, assuming "ns" is a NameSpace object:

        Outlook.Store store = ns.DefaultStore;
        Outlook.Folder root = store.GetRootFolder;
        Outlook.Folders fol = root.Folders;
        Outlook.Folder suggestedContacts = fol.Folders["Suggested Contacts"];
