TileUpdateManager.Clear call throws exception

    Question

  • I get an exception saying "The notification platform doesn't have appropriate privilege on resources. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x803E0117)" when I call TileUpdateManager.Clear(), when the app is running on the *emulator*.

The error does NOT occur when running on the local machine and everything works nicely.

    Can someone help....?

    Thanks

  • Hi Peleus - this is a known issue in with the notification platform (which updates tiles) and a bug has already been filed.  I'm going to mark this as answered and move to the the tools forum.

  • Hi Matt,

I have added functionality to update tiles dynamically. If i am running the metro style app on local machine then it's working fine, but in simulator it's not working.

Please help me to resolve this issue.

    Thanks in advance
