SSPI / Impersonate for Windows Auth? Anyway to use windows auth? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We want to use an azure function to connect to our SQL server.

However, we only use windows auth, not SQL logins.

Is there anyway to use windows auth with azure functions and to specify an impersonation account to use?  I wasn't able to find anything explicit on this.

    Thanks!

  • There wouldn't be any way to do this at the moment.  Keep in mind what a function is - serverless compute.  Therefore, it's not like you are managing an instance of IIS.  Furthermore, how would your function instance authenticate against a domain controller?
