Macro for displaying all fields in a data graphic RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have linked the database to visio. When I drag and drop a record to create a shape, a data graphic is displayed. But, only 2 fields are shown in the data  graphic. I have 7 fields in the database. How can make all the 7 be displayed?

Is there a way to automate the process, maybe using a macro? Can anyone help?

Also, can the alignment of the data graphic be changed automatically? Currently it is being displayed beside the shape. I want it to be displayed below the shape.

  • Have you tried to record a macro?

What't the database are you linking? How do you link?

  • what version of visio are you using? you can examine how a data graphic is defined from the tool bar. when you define the data graphic you tell it where you want to have it placed as part of the dialog.
