My main hotmail account got blocked - too many wrong password attempts - I think someone may have been hacking it.
I've had to get new passwords before, and getting the activation codes has been no problem, I've either emailed them to another account, or had them texted to me and they've worked fine.
BUT!
This time they are not working! I'm getting them emailed to the other account but they are not working when I use them to try and get into my main account, and when I ask them to be texted to me, nothing comes to my phone.
The guidance says you may do it too many times and have to wait 24 hours. I have waited 48 hours but it's still not working!
The most frustrating thing is that there doesn't seem to be a way to contact Microsoft about it. I've been through all the Help forums looking for an email or a chat function. When I click on the 'contact support' link it just takes me to Hotmail log in!!!!
Can anybody help? Someone from Microsoft would be a big help! Or if anyone can give me a phone number or an email address to actually contact them direct that would be great.
I desperately need to get into my main hotmail account - I run my business from it! So this is incredibly frustrating!
