Several services in one dll RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to put several services in one dll (or three), rather than three dll's for every service. We will be running on one machine, and the same process if we have to, but we want to separate our modules into services to achieve low coupling and concurrency. We don't mind loading the same dll mulitple times. The problem is configuration management. With 40 or 60 or a 100 dll's there is a lot of dll's and their respective versions to keep track of.

Answers

  • Sure. If you just put multiple Services into the same project they should all be placed in the same dll.

  • Also, each service must be defined in its own distinct .NET namespace.
