How to connect to SQL Anywhere 10.0 ? RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I have a machine on my company network which i have deployed SQL Anywhere 10.0 and i want to connect to this machine from my C# 2.0 ADO.NET application using the following connection string :

    "Server Name=servernameStick out tongueort;UID=userName;PWD=pwd;Provider=SAOLEDB.10"

    but i am getting the error : Invalid connection string. Error parsing connection parameter string

    What should be the right connection string ?

  • It is not working because it is not Sybase provider connection string I got these from the link which  I gave to you.

     


    For C#:


    AseConnection conn = new AseConnection(
       "Data Source='" + host +
          "';Port='" + port +
          "';UID='" + user +
          "';PWD='" + pass +
          "';Database='pubs2';" );

    For Visual Basic .NET:


    Dim conn As New AseConnection( _
         "Data Source='" + host + _
         "';Port='" + port + _
         "';UID='" + user + _
         "';PWD='" + pass + _
