Blob Storage request not returning 206 for a partial content request

    Question

  • Hello,

    I'm trying to get Blob Storage to return 206 for partial content requests, but it is only returning 200. I've followed every guide across the Internet that indicates the need to set the DefaultServiceVersion, which I have set to "2015-04-05". I've verified the correct blob type and Content-Type as well.

    I am testing with this curl command:

    curl -I -r0-1 https://....blob.core.windows.net/videos/....mp4

    I receive the following response:

    HTTP/1.1 200 OK
    Content-Length: 14873898
    Content-Type: video/mp4
    Content-MD5: oYPN/m7lhiVY1+TJLi750w==
