  • Question

  • Hi

I developed a ASP.net web based utility for my company . In Nutshell it takes a excel file from network drive and then process the excel file on client pc write down the error logs in excel . It works fine before deployment . I developed it with visual studio 2010. However i deployed the site to IIS 6 on our company web server (Windows 2008 Server Edition )  problem start there after clicking the upload button it gives me the following error messages . I have created two different web sits on same server for test i am receiving two different errors .

    Application Development Environment

    VS 2010 .net framework 4

    Microsoft Excel 2007 and 2010.

    Deployment Environment

    OS windows 2008 Server

    IIS 6

I have ms office and visual studio installed on this machine.

    error 1:

Please wait while uploading is in progress.
    ********** Lettura Tracciato di < SYSTEM > **********:
    Ptf_Mediolanum_20110906.xls
Upload status: The file could not be uploaded. The following error occured: Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A03EC

    error 2:

Please wait while uploading is in progress.
    ********** Lettura Tracciato di < TestingUploading > **********:
    Ptf_Mediolanum_20110906.xls
Upload status: The file could not be uploaded. The following error occured: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {00024500-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80070005 Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)).

    process flow is

client selects file from network drive then upload the file to server (iis) then it manuplate the file mean read then write the error on excel after processing it copy the error file to the same folder where file was picked by user. so server use the C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\DevServer\10.0\ path which is saved on settings table .

    Best Regards
