Access (office 365) with Web Browser Control no longer launches form (out of memory) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I run Access version

    March 26, 2018, 64-bit edition.

and this database works for years, without issues. But the specific form has a "Web Browser Control" in which I launch a web page.

But as of recently, (Microsoft 'owns' my system and updates Office without even mentioning it) opening this form, even in design mode gives: "There isn't enough memory to perform this operation. Close unneeded programs and try the operation again".

Believe my, my system HAS enough memory :) and the operation hardly uses memory besides a browser control.

  • If I were you I'd try reverting to a prior Office build to see if the issue has been caused by some bug in a recent update.

Post back and let us know the outcome.

  • Hello Egbert Nierop,

Does the error message pop-up with the specific Access database or any database? If you create a new database, will the issue occur on the database?

If it only pop-ups with the specific Access database, it might be caused by the database damaged. I would suggest you try to Compact and Repair the database.
