Is it possible to have a popup propery editor ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am rehosting wf designer inside a wpf window. I have created custom activities. When the custom activity is dropped onto the rehosted designer I want to open a popup window for setting the properties of the custom activity. Could someone please direct me how to do this?

I know you can create designer for the custom activity and have controls on it for property editing but my requirement is to have popup property editor window instead.

    Thanks in advance.

  • I think I answered this on the other thread, but will add a little bit more here.  If you want to have a dialog popup from some action on the designer surface, just put a button, show a dialog and massage the results from the dialog into the Designer.ModelItem property.  ModelItem is the object that represents the activity that you are editing.

Please let me know if this helps.
