Appointment Item Resource property returns null after idle time RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have developed outlook addin for meetings and I am using the Appointment Item's resources property to find out what meeting room is selected. I cannot use location property since user can alter it with adding additional information. However, it seems like after some idle time (say 5mins); the resources property is becoming null.

Any idea how to fix this? I did not find any information about this on TechNet/msdn / other blogs.

  • Can you try to call Save before accessing the property? Or loop loop through the Recipients collection looking for a Recipient with Type property == olBCC.

  • When and where does your code run? Resource property coresponds to the PR_DISPLAY_BCC MAPI property, which is updated based on the contents of the recipients table when the appoinment is saved.

  • Under the form region showing event, I have a pagechangehandler delegate that would fire when I toggle between the meeting form and my custom form. I am accessing/checking for the appointment item resources property in that code block.
