    Greetings;

    Our company is in the process of building a new website dedicated for mobile devices.

    Since we are starting from scratch, I would like to consider implementing the Microsoft Patterns & Practices Enterprise Library 5.0 on the site.

    I would like to ask others what they think

    1) Is this too much overhead where speed is mission critical?

    2) Have you implemented this library for a mobile site? If so, why? Please describe your experience.

    3) Given time and resources, would you implement this library?

    I appreciate all feedback

    Smile

    First of all, In building mobile web , it should not affect the development time & resources by using Enterprise libraries. Since Microsoft Enterprise Library 5.0 has wide integration features with ASP.NET , Winforms, Complex WPF with Prism.

    So , smoothly it can build with mobile asp.net.

    1) Is this too much overhead where speed is mission critical? - For Speed constraints, it's not much overhead. Best to use it in Mobile device based application with Rich RIA like Windows Phone.

    2) Have you implemented this library for a mobile site? If so, why? Please describe your experience.
    Validation support in Mobile web can be implemented with it. Same like desktop web development.

    3) Given time and resources, would you implement this library?

    With Mobile device based applications & smart clients definitely.
