WCF - Custom adapter generates with oracle binding System.Xml.XmlException: Data At Root level is invalid RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am trying to poll data using a function whose return type is CLOB in oracle package with WCF - Custom adapter (Oracle binding).

I have provided InboundOperationType as Polling.

PolledDataAvailableStatement, PollingInterval , PollingStatement, PollingAction, enable bitalk compatibility mode as TRUE.

Polling statement is : select PackageName.FunctionNAme() from dual and this statement is returning correct xml when executed in TOAD.

But whenver I enable the recieve location, it gets disabled giving below error.

The Messaging Engine failed to add a receive location  with URL  to the adapter "WCF-Custom". Reason: "System.Xml.XmlException: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.
