I'm guessing it should be "en-gb" or "en-us" or "en"...not "english"

Thank you for u r replies. I had created resource files in App_Local Directories with the same name... and in browser level i done the Supporting languages in browser side
but now i struck at
culture name 'english' is not supported....
So any body help me to out of this problem.
PLz urgent ...waiting 4 u r replies............

In Web.Config, you need to define culture and uiCulture as below:
<globalization fileEncoding="utf-8" requestEncoding="utf-8" responseEncoding="utf-8" culture="en-US" uiCulture="en-US" />
