How do you create a Save Game Function for a Windows Phone App Game? RRS feed

  • Question

  • i want to create a save game function for a windows phone app game.

im currently very new to microsoft blend 4 so im having some difficulties in figuring things out.

right now i was thinking of just using IsolatedStorageSettings <name> = IsolatedStorageSettings.ApplicationSettings; to do the save function but im not sure if that's the proper way or if there is an easier way.

The save game function that i want to do is for a "leveling through stages" type of game so i want to make it so that u have to clear the levels one by one to move up and the cleared levels are noted with a high score.

so could i just do this with the IsolatedStorageSettings no problem?

  • Yep, IsolatedStorageSettings would work just fine for that.
