Azure AD Connect In-Place Upgrade failed


  • I did an in-place upgrade of DirSync (AD objects less than 5000)

    The install failed with the following error:

    An error occurred executing Configure AAD Sync task: AADSTS50034: To sign into this application the account must be added to the directory...

    The only option was to retry which also failed. At this point I believe Dirsync is uninstalled. I have a checkpoint and also backup of the vhdx file. Any advice on the best way to proceed? Currently waiting for MS support's return call.
