traffic option for other than minified navigationBarMode RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to display traffic control in navigation bar other than minified?
I know I can do overlay and put custom control and align it with other native controls that will load traffic module, but I thought it would be just nice to have it in all bar modes and have option to hide if someone don't need it.
    Thanks,

  • Good news. The team has added a "showTrafficButton" map option to the experimental branch which can be set to false to hide the traffic button when using the minified navigationBar. This will likely be merged with the main release branch in January as the release branch is in a code freeze for the holiday season.

  • All items that have been added to the main release branch are listed in the "What's new" section of the documentation here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt770019.aspx

Items in the experimental branch are not documented as they may change drastically or may never make it out of the experimental phase. If a user requests one of these features, the team will usually communicate that it is available in the experimental branch to that user so that they can test it and ensure it meets there expectations. Larger features are usually added to the experimental section of the interactive SDK.

Currently there are no new major features in the experimental branch. The team is focusing on bug fixes, adding a lot of additional automated tests for increased stability, and a number of minor features based on user feedback. We do have a number of larger features planned but are currently not shared publicly.

  • Thanks, where can I find all other features of fixes like that your team are adding.  It would be helpful if we had place to have list of all additions to experimental branch on a go or if its planning soon, instead of every time searching all post to see if its was added yet or not.
