CorProfiler::JITCompilationStarted Callback

    Question

  • Hi,

    Was wondering if the code written for a JITCompilationStarted callback method needs to be thread safe?   Or put another way, is it possible for more than one thread from the CLR be "active" inside the JITCompilationStarted callback method at the same time?

    CLR V4 - ?

    CLR V4.5 - ?

    Thanks!

  • Hi, Dave.

    All of your profiler code must be thread-safe.  Assume that all of your methods can be called simultaneously on arbitrarily many threads.

    Thanks,
    Dave
